hi guys..
just wondering, do i need an (sealed/vented) enclosure in door panel to mount 6.5" component speaker for SQ setting? [ February 25, 2005, 10:36 AM: Message edited by: Tim Baillie. ] |
here we go, what speakers do you have?
|
:D
|
it is a/d/s component set.
|
whick one, what is the model # of your midrange
|
236is
i thought all a/d/s has the same characters. |
i was unable to find any parameters on the speakers youve mentioned so you would likely be better off going ib(infinite baffle). if somewhere down the raod you can get parameters for the midrange/midbass, it is very likely that a dramatic increase in the performance could be achieved. the project that you are considering is very time consuming, hope you have time on your hands and good fibregalssing skills, cuz you will need it

i was unable to find the parameters as well. how if you use this one http://www.directed.com/guides/manua...6.11_04-04.pdf
i just want to know how you determine whether using ib, sealed or vented enclosure. who knows i can find it somewhere. |
you are on the right track, but the parameteres need to be for the exact speaker that you have, its the parameters that assist in determining the best way to applt the speakers, if you can find them let me know

Seal the door, screw in the speaker. your done..
No point to vent a door. |
