JohnVroom, you need a GERMAN car to really impress the judges. LOL

we have never once had an unfiendly drinking episode at any show we have ever had, there is no legal responsibility for us(lawyer looked into it) as we are not providing it free of charge or for sale. during our competitiorsa meeting we explain the very simple rules to people, no underage drinking or the people related to the underage drinker will be dq'ed and permanenty banned, if you begin to act like a fool your keys will be removed from your car or you and given to someone sober to drive. we have only one way in and one way out of the show to insure that there is n o seriosly impared drivers, if you have an issue, you can take it up with our crack security team(you wouldnt question them, guaranteed)and no obvious open liquor. this sytem has worked for years and will continue to in the future. we rely on the competitors to be responsible, if they arent, they are removed. we arent trying to have a bunch of pi$$tanks running around, just a bit of fon, its gets damn hot in the okanagon in the summer and a frostly cold one can sure be refreshing, hgell i think i ever gave a way a prize to the first person to bring me a beer, and it was tasty

we rely on the competitors to be responsible I totally agree that a cold one on a hot day is awesome. Unfortunately most of the time, from what I have seen, there are too many individuals who feel a dozen cold ones on a hot day is awesome. |
we keep a veruy close eye on all those who may look to be getting out of hand, as well 9i have many clints who are police officers who mosey through the show in plain clothes off duty, i am sure to let everyone know they are around, likely another reason why we havent had any problems in the past

I attended a show last summer where the hosting store had their own little booze table setup outside behind their row of 'show' cars for their employees to indulge themselves in. To me, it seemed really krass but that's just me. I remember this one guy from the same shop I think it was who would attend shows that their clients cars would be competing at. Always piss drunk, always with a beer in his hand and always beligerant. Good for you to keep a close eye on that. I dunno, a frosty A&W root beer or slurpee refreshes me just as fine a beer. ^ yeah, that was lame. Reminds me of a show we went to in Surry where one of the product reps, who was also part of the judging, was pounding them back all day. 'uh buddy, your coolie doesn't really hide the can that well'
BUT, this isn't really the topic of the post.. |
to indulge is fine, to overindulge is dumb
|
Anyways, to get back on topic, ported door enclosures suck :D

^ lol, classic
I wouldn't say they suck, just that I don't see the point. Vented subbass makes sense to me, but not midbass. [ February 19, 2005, 10:48 AM: Message edited by: Dukk ] |
