You dont believe you can get up front bass with woofers in the rear? :(

Did you listen to any of the cars at finals this year? I didnt have the chance to attend but have in the past listened to many finals vehicles and they never had a problem with achiving that

Just curious if any of the people in your class who placed above you had vented doors?

When you come down to the coast this year for any shows I look forward to having this vented doors experience.

iliotened to mant cars at the finals including the winners in the expert calss, the advanced consumer 601-1200 class and the winner on the basic pro 1-600, 2 of the 3 had up front bass, both had up front woofers. i have NEVER EVER heard a car that has woofers in the back thwat sounds like it comes from up front and i have heard some of the best cars in the world, why do you think they all had woofers up front(the ones ive heard). none of the cars that placed ahead of me had vented doors, 3 of 4 had up front woofers, and i had higher sq points in 3 of the 6 catagories that all the cars that beat me, and one in particular was, midbass and up front subbass, what doea it mean, it means that they just might be something to porting your front speakers. unfortunately, the ported doors are not being used this year, the sytem is getting a big facelift and there will be no more door speakers, but the engineers who designed my speakers assures me that the speakers will be best optimized vented, and so they will be, but not in the doors but on top of the dash, and slow if you want to listen to my car you are more than welcome to, but im not sure could with an open mind seeing as how your tendency is to judge before listening. i suppose as well that we have very differnt ideas of up front bass, or so it nmwould seem

Oh.. You had said you listened to the winner of the expert class.. lol confused?

Really cant say as the back was open (Current system uses the back as the enclosure) so for some songs it sounded real good, but others it got really boomy and loose.

I prefered the kicker version of the truck.. One of the best sub systems i have heard, along with steve cornells. Both use the same design/idea, (and was the reason for my sub system). These cars are every bit as good as the best front mounted sub cars around.. IMO

chev, mark didnt win the usac finals that we were at, corey himmel did, and i listened to his van and it was amazing. i know that mark did win iasca though, and dwvw, i never listened to scotts but again, i would like to hear a vehicle that has rear woofers with up front bass, they are rare for sure, im not saying that they dont exist, but i would like to hear one for sure, anyone ever heard a vehicle with up front bass with rear woofers in western canada, i would like to hear it and talk to them and see how they overcame the obstacles they encountered to get it. chev2, how does your ib set up sound, its something im considering in my neon rebuild

I think you have expert class confused with grand master

Corey himmel was in advanced consumer 1201+.. He won his class and grandmaster

Mark E. won the expert class

On a side note, i think mark beat corey himmel in iasca.. hehe its all subjective LOL

i would like to hear it and talk to them and see how they overcame the obstacles they encountered to get it. chev2, how does your ib set up sound, its something im considering in my neon rebuild
I actually use a AP membrane system. Good for SQ, Good for creativity & craftsmanship points .

So in this whole post we have learned that IB doors can help achieve great up front bass.

And venting doors is bad
