just wondering, do i need an (sealed/vented) enclosure in door panel to mount 6.5" component speaker for SQ setting?
Need is an interesting word... we only need air, water, food and shelter. But we want a lot of things...

The answer to your Q is No BTW

But you may want to seal or correctly port the system later for more accurate SQ.

Well Defro my opinion is based on the fact that this a forum and opinions are what makes it so great.

Now as far as experience venting a door, I have none. I also have no experience being hit in the head with a baseball bat but I can assure you that it would hurt.

I have not tried to vent a door because I see Zero benifet in doing such. Sealing the door properly will give you enough mid bass to balance out the system.

But Id love to here what your thoughts are as to why it is a good idea since you may be the only one I have heard of with experience venting a door?

Just like Dukk says also " I also dont believe processing the crap out of a signal is SQ"

We all have our preferences If it matters at all I believe in Vented enclosures.
