Do you have a price range you're looking at? Any specific features you want? New or used?

People seem to really like the CD7100. I love my older 8053.

I did a search and couldn't find another thread unless I overlooked it.

I have an Alpine deck right now but I think the Eclipse is better. I'm looking for a new deck that can play MP3s with a good crossover built in.

I've had two, they really don't like the cold here in Nova Scotia. In the winter they play at 2x speed for the first 15 minutes or so. Really weird to hear! Then within about a year the lazer starts going and it wont read disks with even very mild scratchs.

Honestly I'll never use an Eclipse HU again. The sound quality was really good for the price, but they just didn't last long enough.

Wow, that's interesting. Now you've got me worried.
