Are there alot of guys in here who run tube amps in their rides? Also if anyone has an opinion on what they like best ....Butler (blue), us amps (TU) , Milbert (BaM 325) if anyone here has heard one, man that wld be sweet, and any others you guys might like for various reasons. Are there any dealers for such high end amps here in Canada as well?

Tru Technologies amps look great. I am planning on buying the t-03 series but if i had the money i would buy the copper hybrid or the all tube. i think i read over on eca that they are the only tubes that have high voltages on the plates.

website is www.trutechnologies.com or www.trutechnology.com

I used to own a few of the old Blade VTH-100 amps. I really liked them, smooth and detailed. One of the drawbacks to the tubes in the car I found was that it took a while for them to warm up, especially in the winter. But all in all still a nice amp.

I'm currently running a Milbert Bam-235 in my system.... I had Alpine 3545, Tube Driver Blue, Audison VR-4, SoundStream class-A. The Milbert was the sweetest of all... Its the most musical & it presents instruments true to life.

I originally didn't want to keep the tubes amp in my system..... I just put it in to see how the system would sound with the Milbert.......cause its hard to intergrate in my install. But after I heard my system with the Milbert..... now Its gotta stay!

I have also used the Tube Driver Blue..... Its also not too bad up top (500hz and up). but not as alive and toney as the Milbert. I have also used them to drive the Veritas Accuwave and it sound pretty sweet.. The earlier version of Tube Driver (TD-1500 & TD-750)is warmer sounding, specially the very first generation ones. and you could up grade the 6L6tubes to Svetlana or EH.

I used to sell the Milbert & TubeDriver at my old store.....I think for the Tube Driver Blue, you could get it direct now.

At this moment I am confused if US Amps is out of business or what. They were purchased and everything is a little wierd. They were at CES and they seemed very solvent there, now I am a little unsure.
I found there was a sonic signature that said "hi, I am a TU4360 or TU600". More neutral than a 80's or 90's CJ amp but not as neutral as a Counterpoint. Very simular tonal 'color' as the above comments.

Edit: I called their phone from their new web site and they answered so they are in business, but I have no idea if there is product available.

Yes id have to agree, US AMPS is a contender. They had emailed me a while back and had told me that the 2005 line will still have the TU line up, but alas as you can tell from their website.....well who the hell knows whats gonna happen with them?

Milbert is certainly a unique brand, I have not heard it but the company certainly plays to the beat of a different drummer.

The tube driver blue is nice, didnt really stand out in the installs I heard it in (not the amps fault). And the TRU tubed did sound darn good in a IASCA comp vehicle.

I am not convinced a tubed product is always better than a transistor product, I think neutrality, dynamics, detail, timbral accuracy can be had with either product.
