Focal VS Hybrid Audio

Im looking to purchase a really nice high end 3 way set of speakers for my vehicle...now im looking at the Hybrid Audio Legatia pro series VS the Focal K2 KRX3...what are the differences and which are really better...ive heard Focals before and love how they just scream so clear but have not heard the Hybrids. Tell me what you think Thanks!!!

Anytime you want to hear the Hybrids in action send me a PM and we can meet up. I'm in whitby so it's close for both of us. I'm not going to get into VS. comments. What I will say, is that when I switched from Focal to Hybrid Audio - I got a smile on my face instantly and that smile continues to this day.

i don't think you can go wrong either way. personally i have only heard those hybrids on a board. there is one thing about them that stood out like i have never heard before...the center staging. the sound appears to be projected exactly on a pinpoint between the speakers. the effect was astounding.

i personally have doubts on whether this effect will be so dramatic in a car environment though.
as for the focals, they are amazing, a little too bright for my tastes (almost all of focals lineup is). i have heard those in a navigator and they sounded great.

price wise, im pretty sure the hybrids are a significant amount cheaper, and from what I have heard they should be a little cheaper....so I would personally be on the edge. the focals are tried and tested and known to sound astounding in almost any setup.

I think one thing that might not be mentioned about the Hybrid product is it support. You will not find a better company to deal with from a support factor. If you have questions they will be answered quickly.

You can always come to one of the shows to hear both Focal and Hybrid products. Dont rush into your decision, make sure you listen to the speakers first. I'm using the L1Pro, L4 and L8 in my car. And even though the car isnt finished, it still sounds good and keeps getting better. I have a feeling after you listen to the speakers, you will choose Hybrid.

One other thing. Hybrid may be more install friendly as they will most likely sound better out of the box, and have better response off-axis. If both sets are gonna be on-axis, then you may have to decide which sound signature pleases you most. Both sets are top notch.

Hmm......comparing a 2-way set of $1K speakers to a 3-way set of $2.5K speakers......not exactly a fair comparison

Let's get the facts straight.... the Legatia Pro LI/L6 is a 2-way component set that has an MSRP of $1,069.95

As far as a passive crossover is concerned......do we really need to discuss the advantages & disadvantages of using a crossover.
