Well what can I say, people who heard the BMW said it ripped...I won the worlds with the same set up. I think that tech guy should get some real world experience!

Just curious what you do to make sure the waves don't cancel each other out? I am assuming you mean the wave coming from the back of the trunk vs. the wave going into the car? Sorry for my ignorance if this has been outlined.

I think it was said here before, but this thread has turned into a lot of reading, so to answer your question directly....
Make sure the Trunk is COMPLETELY sealed from the inside of the car.

A lot of drivers will work fine in an IB setup ............. for a while. But once they break in often the suspension doesn't provide enough control and then they start to go into the tank sonically. So while many of you guys may state that such and such a driver sounds great in an IB application .............. that may be only fine for the short term. Bottom line is buy the right thing that works for your application. Don't get fished in by war stories and cheap pricing.

However the ib in the bmw done right is realisticly a large sealed box

^ IB in any car is merely a large sealed box. In fact, most IB setups don't have enuf volume to really be infinite baffle but merely an oversized sealed enclosure.

And what do we know 'in general' about oversized sealed boxes?
