Nope, never heard of it before.

But how much information can you really put into a book with only 142 pages? I would have though it would be like as thick as a pair of phone books...especially considering all the people I see talking about different designs of speakers.

Well, I'm gonna have to check out Chapters tomorrow and see if they have it...and I'll probably pick it up.

The Loudspeaker Design Cookbook has been around a long time. It's deffinitely a great book, and it keeps getting better. Last time I checked, it was in it's 8th edition(I think). It just keeps being updated and getting better with time. I first read it when I was 14, and with basic math you can pretty much understand everything in the book.

This forum rocks! I've never heard so many inteligent people admiting that they DON'T know everything. Must be Canadian eh?

I too am surprised Slingshot has never heard of that book. My first read was back in 1987...

A hundred and forty odd pages...don't be fooled by the size of it ....It's all Killer & No Filler

lol, nope...actually I have heard something about it once before but I just laughed and didn't think too much of it. I think we should all pitch in and write a book together.

it'll be called Chicken Soup For The Canadian Car Audio Installers Soul.

And we'll get all the fossils like Dukk and Wade to tell tales of back when they were young, if there was such a time, and what equipment was cool back then

Slingshot,

It's an oooooold book. First edition in 1977, they should be able to quote the first dedication inside the cover by heart.

Experienced was a given. But you guy's are old man.

You still remember when the Alpine 7909 first came out don't you? lol

I know, I know, It wasn't really that long ago, but I doubt half the people on this board are old enough to remember that deck.

No, the REALLY scary part is those that can remember what came BEFORE the 7909! The 7902! 8 chiclet buttons, really blocky shape to it. Oh and of course, the Alpine 6 cassette changer. I still remember seeing that on the display board at Stereo People in Edmonton along with the legendary 3545 amp and a 6012 sub (of which I own one )

I'm not going to give any of you "experienced" guys a hard time.

Back to the topic at hand!

I'm interested in the Co-axial mounting of tweeters. Let's ask my dad for his impression.
Frank, you here?
