Help Me Add SQ AMP + Subs to Stock BMW System.

First here is the trunk space we''ll be working with.
the car its a 135 Convertible Full blown show car minus trunk setup.

Money Is not an Object. He want Top of the line items. his plans were to go with 2 10"(he want 2 10") JLW7's but i think those are too big. is there any subs and amps people can recommend that has a smaller magnet and producer next or better sq like the W7?

Also for amps, he want to go with a 1000/1 but i told him there could be something better that might be a little cheaper than 1000/1.

In short, he want 2 10" woofer in his trunk and a Lay ed out amp on the floor.
and suggestions? including box specs and what they should be build and tune for.

Also as a BMW tech, i wonder how it is possible to get an AMP input from the stock system without throwing any codes on radio.
What is the best solution for this?

Trunk Space. People Please help out i promise ill post pics of the install / car.
Also if anyone know any decent installs with much experiences with custom tuned boxes in the Toronto/Canada Area please let me know.

There are lots of interfaces to tap into the stock system with no code throwing issues. The better the interface, the better the performance in the long run. One of and if not the hands down winner for overall SQ with the awards to show it is made by Morel.
Morel Loudspeakers - Mobile Audio - Subwoofers - Ultimo Subwoofer

Once the sub has been chosen, the right amp can be found for the task at hand. This is going to be a lot of bass should he go the two sub route with the recommended power. It will play loud if tasked to but sound stellar while doing it.

There is a customer of mine with this sub in the Toronto area, perhaps he would let the buyer have a look at it. The box is going to make it all work, same with the install so I will research out a good shop for you to go to, already have a couple in mind includingone out of town if he does not mind the roadtrip.

w7's require a decent amount of airspace. maybe you could talk him into 2 8w7's. they are exceptional for their size. and would very happily run on a 500/1. and since he seems to like jl audio, what about a cleansweep processor for oem integration. theres not alot of airspace in the trunk of a convertible because most of the trunk is taken up by the top when the top is down. so a decent amount of airspace would probably include going into the spare tire compartment and building a false floor and so on...

i can suggest a tiny Alpine PDX 1000.1 amp the stackable ones which are now like $900 new, i have one its incredible, i wouldnt however suggest a 4 channel stackable alpine amp because they tend to be speaker eaters....... now if he wants good components get some italian stuff or France if moneys no object...some Focal Utopia Be components, which are pricey but are the best. now for subs, would he be okay with 1 large sub? if so, the JBL W12GTI MKii which is very musical but also can be spl, its designed both ways, but you need alot of power to run them, id suggest two alpine PDX 1000.1 running each coil equally, and make sure to match them perfectly before hooking them up to each coil, and to run those focals if you need power get an Audison. let me know what your thoughts are on this

if air space is tight you might also think about a pair of 13tw5 from jl. only .8 cubic feet each. i have never heard a w7. and i know a 10 should respond quicker but the tw5 is pounding harder then the 2 10" w3v3's i had, and you could run them off a jl 500/ 1v2 or a 1000/ 1v2 both within the power range of the 2 subs. but after sq i would stick to jl for amps over the alpine pdx tried one of them good but jl is a bit better.

i've heard the 10w7 in the box that jl makes specifically for these subwoofer's and it is the loudest thing i've ever heard, and it was only powered by the jl 500/1. if you get the jl 1000/1 with two of these subs it will be crazy.
