how do SQ competitions work? do they still have them?

how do SQ competitions work? do they still have them?
Hey so,
SPL is all about noise.. its impressive when your 19 subs can be heard at 140db over 2km away but what about SQ?
I was told in a shop that they dont do SQ at car audio comps anymore.. they judging was too hard or something..
can someone tell me if thats true, and if not how do SQ competitions work.. whatre the criteria etc... and can i expect to find SQ comps at car audio shows this summer?
