I like sealed too, but I love my T-Line.
I don't know how many times I've seen that term mis-used in print. (subsonic that is)
I'm starting to believe a fact I was told that 90% of college graduates, are functionally illiterate.
The only way I can see that term associated with music is at the Abbotsord air-show.

Subsonic has been used for decades (even before a plane surpassed the speed of sound) to describe tones below 20hz...does that not make it acceptable even if not technically correct.

I've played organ tones as demos for my system at full volume regularly in my ported box with no problems. My box is tuned to 30hz and I use regular (infinity 12") subs. I suppose if you drive around playing organ tones all day it could be a problem, but who does that?

sealed boxes are the way for the best lows but if you do want to go ported try doing an abc box

I like tuning boxes 20-25hz... nice low extension and keeps group delay where you won't notice it....

Anything tuned lower, or say if you listen to whales hump.... I always listen to new tracks at a moderate volume so there are no surprises when I crank it....

haha.. just this morning I was just watching a Pantera/ozzfest video I downloaded and noticed my subs were wanging at about 4-5 hz here and there

My box is tuned to 31hz right now but some of the songs I listen to the sub just goes crazy?
If I tune lower this would probably help, but would I not lose some volume? I'm not sure but as you tune lower you end up with a quieter system? will playing a 30hz bass note in a box tund for 30hz be the loudest bass you will be able to achieve form the sub without changing your setup?
I'm not to sure if this makes sence! lol

thanks

SS Filter!
I know there's a lot of dissent on this topic here, but if you don't already have one, then you need it.

I thought ABC was a reference to chewing gum.
