Have you tried a zero bit recording to see if the noise is still there?? After and if the muting plugs and zero bit recording still leave you clueless, try diffrent rca cords, or try a different amp if you or a buddy has one laying around...if still there, try another deck if u can borrow one for the test or have an extra one.

Lemme know how u make out...

Oh yeah...measure the resistance of your ground point(s). Where is your deck grounded to right now? Where are the amps grounded to?

Apparently my remark went unnoticed.

Try bench testing the amp and see if there is a static noise. I really think this is the noise floor you are hearing.

Oh and Brandon I enjoy correcting your uneducated posts..

What does pre-Mitek mean.. Anyone who knows anything about xtant will tell you the product has drastically improved since mitek came on board with xtant.

The xtant stuff had problems before and since and been much better. SO GET THE FACTS STRAIT.

Also mitek had there hands in xtant even before the purchase on paper

So whats not usefull about that post, I am correcting you so others dont take your IN THE KNOW about xtant as truth.

About your noise problem, check your ground on the deck. I use the same CD Player!

Yea, anyway, Slow/n\low, whatever you wanna think I'm done talking about this Xtant thing....who gives a crap, that's what I'm using I couldn't care less about thier history and just FYI I happen to like Xtant amps that were built before Mitek took over.

Ok, now to answer some questions.

The noise is still there with the key on accessory.

No, kool, I hear what you're saying, but it's not that....I ran the same set-up in my Buick and didn't have this problem.

My deck is grounded to the body of the van, as are the amps.

I have a zero bit recording on an old IASCA disk that I can't find...if I can find it I'll try that.

I also still have my Clarion 9255, so I'll try that too. If that don't work, I'll try another amp.

I also have a Ground loop isolator that I may try, but only if all else fails.....I'd rather spend a lot of time and effort finding the problem, than resort to one of those.(I hate those)

Ah, hell, I did not think of that.

Very good, I will try that too, I don't imagine that it matters, but my antenna is not hooked up.(I didn't buy a cd player so I could listen to the radio)

I'm running the Xtant's Active x-over, it can be totally by-passed with the flick of a switch.

I will also try this. I believe right now, I'm running highpass to my front stage.
