Yea, people that can't afford JL...I don't have JL subs but I have Focal Utopias and a Kicker CVR...Does that still mean I can't afford JL subs or does that mean that I found a better value with a different company?

You sound like a punk kid, just because you wear Nike shoes and the other guy wears Zellers half price specials means you're better than him?

Yea, they have a reputation for building good subs, but if no-one can afford them, then whats the point? Personally I'd rather buy something that I've listened to and I like instead of going with a name.

What's wrong with internet companies? ED and RE have been around at least 4-5 years, I HIGHLY doubt they are going anywhere.

BTW for half the price of a Ferrari, you can build a mustang that spanks a Ferrari and is FAR more reliable.

i think i'll be picking between the re se's, the CDT Sq's, or the JL w6's
Please note that comparing written frequency response ranges between subwoofers is not a great way to compare subs. Frequency response, particularly on the bottom end, is largely determined by the enclosure the sub is used in. Also, most companies do not mention if the frequency response range is 3dB down, 6dB down, or 10dB down; driver A that is 3dB down at 30 Hz will likely have more extenion than driver B that is 10dB down at 25 Hz.

Between the subs you are looking at, I think the W6V2's are the clear winners. They are some of the best SQ drivers available. If you're looking for a little bit more output, perhaps the SE's would be best for you.

lol ok, im reconsidering jl again. and sorry for keep naggin about this, but im a young guy going through college, and i only wanna drop my money ONCE on my system........for now.

when looking at the se's, how good are their sound quality compared to the w6's?? also, im still stumped on what size to get.......i drive an 03 dodge ram standard cab, so there is decent amount of room behind the seats. i want two subs, but i dunno if i should go 10's 0r 12's. since u said the se's have more output, two tens would probably be alright? i don't want window shattering base, i want sound quality base, that will still turn heads if i want it to.......
