looking for 6.5 convertible components
#11
I will be checking out the Energy 6.5 components at a local futureshop here soon. And they are also convertible which is what I want...
I am planning to buy a set if I like them, sound deaden the doors and just run them off my deck. I don't usually crank my speakers really loud so I don't see the point of spending more money.
I might also get the Energy 6x9 3-ways, because I won't be using a sub.

If you gonna run speakers off your deck, then look into high sensitivity ratings of 92db and up. Usually entry level speakers will have higher sensitivity. Do the research on line for which Future Shop speakers offer that, and then you can hear them in person off the deck in the store.

Be careful about the dB stuff, it's not always telling you the real value...
What about the PPI 356CS, they are bi-amp capable so you could power the midbass and tweet separatly with the deck
Precision Power PPI 356CS 6-1/2" - Sonic Electronix
