low budget amp !?

I'm currently trying to built a small sq system for my friend. He don't want to spend a lot. I would like to find him a good little amp sq style used, 4ch that will give higher than 75wrms x4. I would like to know what brand are good in low price range.

Usually SQ and low budget do not go hand in hand. As for your question, amps are least of your worries when it comes to SQ, just look for required specs, and buy a reputable brand on sale or used. Look at the list below under "good" amps for brands to look for.

Copy of the CAC Good, Bad, and Ugly List

Any one of those will be great for his low budget SQ system, as far as Sounstream, Van Gogh's were used in many SQ cars back in a day. Also, look into used Sundown Audio(buck for buck - by far the best amp for those on a budget)

i swear this list has been on this forum before, if not then i'm imagining CCA banners and need to get off this forum for a while, either way i disagree with some of the choices on this list, particlarly kenwood. while the speaker thing i can't confirm of deny, i have a kenwood amp and i think its awesome, and if harmon kardon is PG owned then maybe, but from the kardon stuff i've seen they're awesome, but that stuff is pretty old. and i've heard from a vendor on this site that elevation audio is garbage. oh and hifonics and crunch are both made by maxxsonics so they should be considered a little closer together in quality. and i love my cerwin vegas but i know their rep was built more on pro audio opposed to car audio, but they're awesome to me

Well..that list is a little old, and is based on their experiences. I'll agree with the bad list, but there are a few names on the questionable list that i'd disagree with..pioneer amps, kenwood amps, kicker subs, and few others...i've had very good experiences with those brands.

since everyone disagree on some point on this list... why don't we do it again ?
like create a topic and recreate the list the way it should be for 2009.
