Again I am not tooting my own horn but it was fun, it was David vs Goliath knowing a sound system can be more than the sum of the parts. SQ and SPL competition is quite fun and there are great friends to be made in the lanes as long as you avoid the Drama Queens.

-Eclipse CD7100 (my biggest expense)
-Memphis MSQ5 comps (great detail and imaging)
-Knuconcepts power and RCA (great stuff cheep)
-RE SX 18" sub (not a great SQ competition sub but not bad... worth a fortune for scaring the crap out of the other SQ guys in a 5 cube box doing 140db at 20 Hz)
-US Amps Merlin 2D -good power, punchy and detailed but had a turn on thump so not SQ friendly

all in all a little over $1500 US (whats that $1400 C?) for SPL good enough to win locally and SQ good enough to win regionally in MECA, USACi or IASCA. with 20/20 hindsight I could have selected better products even at that price point.
