NOW all we are missing is a 4" mid and tweet.

this system sounds sooooo freaken nice. lol i want a pair of those SLS sooo bad.

kinda sux tho that ch3 on your amp is defective. anyone heard of something like this?? theres a pop only when you shut off the deck when the car is ONLY on. disconnected the deck and its not that. disconnected 1 channel at the time and it worked perfect till we put channel 3 back in.

That is a really nice door install.
The only little thing it if there is water or high humidity, your mdf ring might crap out.

Seems like a good strategie is to coat them with a bit of fiberglass resin.

I'm running the Fostex FF85k full range above my midbass with no tweeter, and it sounds really, really nice. I was a little skeptical at first, but the fact that they don't break up the vocal range at all (they're running from about 180 Hz up with the midbass crossed at 170) they make the overall sound very cohesive and nice, and they DO extend way up into tweeter range, some have been very surprised at how well they extend.

the MDF rings seemed to be in there for a bit of time ( approx 1 year ) and they show no sign of water damage. same in my vans door. i dont see y ppl say they will go weak and break lol

Because other people have had theirs soak up water and fall appart.

I don't have any in my fj either and it has been there a couple of years. Last time I checked thought it was starting to look like a bit of water got to it (after over 2 years).

Some cars it's not really an issue. It's just so easy, my futures ones will include some coating.
