Finally got around to installing the Morel Elate 10 subwoofer.
Very nice indeed. Needs to be broken in, but man is it accurate. When I picked the thing up from Timmy, I chuckled a bit because it was so small and light. It bordered on being flimsy. It's in a small sealed box at the moment. Smooth and transparent - two words that describe it best. I haven't put it on the RTA yet, as I am waiting for proper break-in.
I'm not sure how many people out there have heard Morel Elates, but it's worth a listen.
I haven't installed the three way Elates yet, as I'm trying to figure out where to put the dome mids. BTW, the tweeters that came with the 3-ways are out of this world. I swapped them with the tweets that came with my Dotechs. And here I thought they were awesome.
Anyway, I can't wait to get the rest of it installed and properly tuned. I had a two week vacation not too long ago, but Timmy couldn't get the friggin things in on time. Oh well, good things come to those who wait.
Joe, I took a big chance buying this stuff without listening to them first, but I'm 100% glad I bought 'em. Damn it, it's nice stuff.
Anyway, if anyone's looking for something different to try, go listen to Morels. Talk to good ol' Timmy Baillie, our resident Morel dealer. BTW, the Elates are the real thing (made in Israel) and not those cheapo Morel USA crap (Renaissance series).
(edit) forgot to mention - shallow mounting depth. I mean really shallow. that's their trademark. simply incredible.

Cleaning out the garage and picking my nose, because I didn't think it was on this past weekend. I don't know what to say? I was looking forward to it and what not. I went to Vernon to visit an old friend on Saturday and came back late. The warden was mad at me so I hid out in the garage worked on the car for a bit and tried to clean up the mess from the re and re of the system. For once I stayed away from the damn 'puter and this forum and this is what happens.
In a way I'm glad I didn't come out with my car as it looks like crap right now.
I missed meeting all those people. That's what I wanted to do so much this year. Oh well, there will be more opportunities. I guess the Audio Vault will be the next one, right?

Hey Kerry, just a suggestion -- but how about mounting the tweeter and the mid on the "A" pillars? Are you making your own xovers or using the units that come in the set? -- Just a thought.

Have you done yours yet? I would love to see and hear them.

Speakers? or the factory?
or both...........
So you guys carry Morel too?
Well forget Tim then........ hee hee.
Do you carry the full line? I would love to hear their Supremo tweets. For $800 a pair, they better be good huh?

Supremo's look like a beautiful tweet. Haven't heard them myself; only read very glowing reviews. But wait, they can't possibly be good since they aren't over $1000, like some other over-hyped brands out there
