A good quality soft dome will be more 'laid back' and potentailly cause a bit less fatigue vs. other tweeter dome materials, like aluminum, titanium or other, but the most important part of the reproduction, based on the musical spectrum, is the MID range (as tweeters only do 2 plus octaves 3 - 12 kHz).

By contrast, mids do over 5 octaves, and are in the range where human hearing is more acute and where there is more musical content. So pay more attention to the musicality of the mids, and less to the 'detail' or whatever, of the tweeters. Tweeters can always be toned downm, via level settings on xover, or with the treble control, but material resonances, esp titanium, you either like, or just have to live with.

Midbass characteristists, in terms of how good/bad they sound in a given door install are
another thing all together, but generally it is better to have a higher Qts spec in IB kinds of apps. (like .50 - .65). Demo boards fail to give you a real-world kind of idea on this.

My .02 cents on component driver options.

these are alll great companies and it boils down to your personal taste....what sounds best to you. Ive also been a stickler about never buying a specific speaker unless you have given it an audition, and on that note, I am still trying to find a HAT dealer here in Vancouver, even with all the praise I have heard on several forums I will not get the credit card out until I have auditioned them myself....thats my .02 cents

Focal

MY uncle is the rep for Hertz in CA and his car sounds PERFECT and he has the best Hertz made but my dad owns stereo stores and sells focal and hertz so i decided to go with k2p upgraded and installed them into my Mustang gt

After install my uncle Listen to my car and said that it's the best sounding American car he has ever heard. My car has more mid bass then we both have ever heard IN A MUSTANG WOW . (I played the drum solo on the Focal CD)

THE BOTTOM LINE IS YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH FOCAL OUR HERTZ

THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THESE SPEAKERS ARE INSTALL INSTALL INSTALL

THEY WILL BOTH SOUND PERFECT

My favorite combo in the world... Focal mids and midbass drivers with Morel Tweeters.....

Nice smooth top end, clean midrange, nice thump on the bottom end!
