need suggestions for amp purchase.. JL

Okay, so i have a 07 trialblazer and i have ordered the Kenwood DNX-9990HD head unit with JL ZR650-CSi for the front and JL C5-650X for the back. My questions are, how do you think the C5 coaxial's in the back will pair with the ZR 2 way components in the front for over all sound? should i have gone for something else in the back? And also what amp should i get from JL that will pair nicely and be sufficient for these speakers? Maybe two options, a higher end and a lower end? thank you very much, this is my first post!

They should sound fine. I would look at the XD660.6. Either go all active or bridge four of the channels for the fronts and the last two for the rear.

you dont think i that is too much power? the ZR's peak is 225W with RMS of 85W and the C5's peak is 225W with RMS of 75W. i was tossing around the idea of either the XD600.6 or the XD500.3 and go two channels @ 333W to the front and one channel @ 166W to the rear. or should i go with the 600W amp with 4ch to the front and 2ch to the rear? ooor are both of those options overkill and should i just go with a XD400.4. i dont know anything about any of this stuff, which is why i am here asking you guys! thanks again!

The full range channels on all of the XD amps are 75w RMS into 4ohms, regardless of the number of them. The sub channel on the 500/3 and 700/5 only plays up to 1khz, it's not full range.

For the little bit extra the 600/6 costs over the 400/4 I would for sure pick it up and enjoy either being all active (technically you will still need something on the tweeter other than the amp crossover) or the extra power from bridging the comps.

I'm currently considering two 600/6 for my front speakers.
