New DRX-9255?...Dave?
You mentioned clarion would be bringing out a new version of the 9255 and it would have time alignment, (which I hate, check out the big discussion about it on ECA). Wanna fill me in Someone? Any pictures been released of it or specs?

I got my 9255 for $450 canadian.
I'm having flashbacks man, it's like looking at an old 9255 except there's a remote and a lot of other junk that I don't really require for my system.
I'm not going to get into a time alignment discussion, it's been discussed thouroghly on ECA, we came up with this conclusion....It's only good for one seat and with proper imaging you don't need it. In some cars, however, it may be the only way to get your car to sound good....again it will only sound good from one seat. It's all about PL's. Your car should sound good from both seats, therefore you must maximize your PLs in order to achieve good staging from both front seats. Also, tyo get perfect time alignment measurments you need a TEF analyzer, it's like an RTA except that it measures reflections..I believe the PXA-H900 has one built in. There's more to it than that, but I'm not starting up this discussion again [img]smile.gif[/img]
Nice deck though, wish mine had Burr Brown D/A's. But it still has the bloody outboard DC/DC converter....that's the only thing I HATE about these decks, it's such a pain in the *** to find a spot to put it.

So there was some sort of Time Alignment Caucus I missed? Damn! I pay for gas, so I want it to sound good from the driver's seat.
The new deck seems to be in the same spirit as the 9255 but has more stuff built in that kind of violates what the original was, a no thrills deck.
