my mom's blazer has factory 2 way setup mid in the door and a tweeter on the dash similar to the way you got it, and for factory setup it sounds pretty good, now mind you the shape of the winshield/interior is different but in the end it's how it sounds to you

have you tried a temporary mount there and listened to it?

 

I put it there and it sounds amazing, i have not heard many component set ups before but i think its a good location A few accord guys put it in the same spot and love it along with this one guy who did a very nice sq install.

I did set my tweeters to -3db though and it sounds great.
