All you need for perfect sound quality is your own two ears and the crap between 'em. That's all that's needed to determine what sounds like heaven to you. Everyone else's brain and ears can determine what's heaven for them. It's like looking at one of them screwed up paintings and someone telling you that it's a depiction of the Earth's inner pain or some crap. If this dude thinks it is, good for him, to me it's just a bunch of paint in all the wrong places. Ofcourse, some artist will tell me that I just don't understand paintings and that's why I don't see it, maybe they're right. But, I know what I like and that's all that matters to the Sexy one. Whether it's a beautiful painting of a spring landscape or 6x9s in my rear shelf, sound quality is defined by what you as the listener hears, and if i hear heaven, then that's all the SQ I need.

Good analogy, Sexy. I couldn't agree more.

100%in agreement with the sexyman. Your ears, your mind, your taste is what it's all about. Remember this ain't saving peoples' lives here, it's a hobby to some, a living to others and to all of us just a lot of fun. Let SQ be what you want it to be. Whether it's pyramid,jl,iD or jensen it's all about you and your tunes.

when was the last time you went to a concert or a live performance, and paid your money, and then proceeded to turn your back to the stage???? ...duh...these guys rock man....
the point is , your music is recorded in two channel , LEFT AND RIGHT.unless you are running dvd audio, which is another issue altogether.instead of buying 4 piece of crap speakers, invest in two GOOD speakers, preferably components, and have them installed correctly, and your end result will be much better, including the fact that better speakers will last longer. theres my rant!

Speakers aren't at knee-level at concerts, either. I'm getting tired of this argument.

A car is not a concert! There is almost nothing in common between the two, besides the music.

It is possible to adjust the rear channels in a car, using things like time alignment and speaker gain, so that they blend with, and reinforce, your front stage. If improperly set up, of course it will sound messed. Like having your fronts out of balance.

It is all about your listening preferences, the car you have, and how you have your stuff set up. My last car sounded better without rear fill. My present car actually sounds worse without it.

I'm sorry to tell you Strappingyounglad but according to MIKEONE your current system does not sound worse. It sounds better because MIKEONE says so, O.K. Your opinion on the matter does not matter. You just don't know what sounds good to you.

^Thanks Defro13, that's all I'm trying to say. If you like it, then that's all that matters man. Maybe One day I'll hear Your set up and you'll hook me in to your world and I'll be the first to tell you that it sounds awesome. Maybe I'll even change my opinion about the whole thing. To date I ain't heard any car that sounds so fantastic that I can say makes me feel that I need to change my set up. Even so, I will always respect each person's opinion on what they think is great.
