I am starting to like the alpine PDX amps more and more.
However, the thrifty side of me is saying hifonics, especially since I never was really able to tell much difference between amplifiers unless there was a substantiel diff in power. Not counting the snutie attitude one could exude having a prestige brand of course.

What seemed to matter most in my rudementary installs were
1)power
2)Active xover vs passive.

But this is a loaded opinion.

So back to small amps that pack big punch.

i like the alpine and aulison amps for this

The only question that bothers me is how well do those fullrange class D amps sound. I'd like to do a comparo one day. I've heard mixed thoughts about this.

The new Audison LRX amplifiers are class A/B.............awesome sounding amp without the drawbacks of most class D amps.

I have seen the PDX in very clean installs and love them.They look,sound,and perform top notch.The last set I saw installed was in a 535 bmw,mounted underthe back deck....soooooo clean.On a side not I believe the "D" is digital.
