SQ AMP -- A/B vs D
If you are using the amp only for LOW freq's reproduction or for a sub...then I recomend a class D amplifier...the small difference in SQ Between A/B and D amps is comparing apples to oranges.
When using a Class D amp for Mids/Hi's at higher power levels there is audible distortion due to insuffient MOSFET transients in the Higher Freq's.
Although when using Class D for powering a Sub-Woofer there i s no audible distortion when d riven i nto clipping...although it will produce more power more efficiently when driving Freq's below 90HZ.

regulated power supplies (such as JL's) leave almost no room for musical peaks and transients, I guess if you're just into playing bass discs as loud as you can, regulated is the way to go, but I've never seen anyone but JL market a tightly regulated power supply as better than unregulated.
