SQ Car
Oh yeah an SQ vehicle with unused grommets in the firewall to run 0 gauge, and room to lay the 0 gauge under the carpet in a channel
Symmetric/ low dash for dash or a-pillar speakers (2nd the motion)
The center console as stated does not help a car with kick's
Scions, Impala's, Nissan's in general, Honda and Acura's in general but especially Accords and TL, I am fairly pleased with my Focus but Fords generally suck, There is a Kia with a deluxe OEM system that rocks too.
There is a Nissan Pathfinder and Jeep Liberty that do well from the SUV department. and oddly enough I heard an Astro van I was certain I could build into a winner. Steve Head has done wonderful things with Dodge Ram PU's.

^ the install makes the car, not the other way around.
Just because Buwalda built one that sounds good, doesn't mean that you should just go out and buy one to build a system in.
You could try and copy his install and it might not even come close.
He may have done something you don't know about that would give him an edge, SQ competitiors are famous for it.
No matter what car you have in order for it to sound right you're still going to have to have your pathlenghts equal, It's still going to have to be fairly dead, and your still going to have to decide if your speakers work best on or off axis. These things will never change no matter what car you have and the space you have to work with may durastically change either your install ideas or your equipment choice.
On the other hand, like I said, anything can sound good.....how much work you are willing to put into it will determine the results.
