hey smpl, whats the aprox weight of that sub? i was just wondering because my car has a weight limit lol. wondering if i can squeeze it in... possibly without driving something thats gonna look like a pogo stick lol.

Thanks...I had a bit of a challenge figuring out what to use to wire it because I really wanted to use 8 ga wiring and the terminals on the sub would not have allowed me to jump from one coil to the other...I was surfing the net looking for a distro block and I found those "T" connectors and realized they were perfect for my application and the rest is history...

The basket structure is made entirely of aluminium so it's not as heavy as it looks. I would guess it to be approx 40 pounds. It also has double stacked 165 oz magnets and dual 4 inch voice coils which just makes the deal even sweeter...

bye doing this i have less then a 0.01 drop ,so i would have full power of the amp or is this over kill (like killing a rat with a tank)
Why not use dedicated speaker cable, instead of power cable.
You will notice a difference in detail at least.
Also, the excess power cable you have coiled up in the picture, should be made shorter, instead of hiding the excess.
The idea of having those distribution blocks is.., umm well, I can see why, but.., don't those speaker terminals accept banana plugs or at least a 10guage cable?
There is nothing wrong with using heavy gauge cable, provided you can fit it in the terminal, but the moment you splice it, you defeat the purpose.

most of what i show of my set up is old and have bin redone
