You will notice a difference in detail at least.
LOL, you want to illuminate us about the magic that makes copper wire that says "speaker wire" on it sound better than copper wire that says "power wire" on it?

Here's an interesting page concerning different types of speaker wires (e.g. - tinned, solid strand, silver, etc. etc.) and their apparent "differences", or lack thereof:

Try it you'll like it

I suppose I could try to enlighten you about how various types of cable provide for different results, but would that prompt you to try it yourself?
So.., to avoid re-discovering this issue again (I know it's been discussed on this forum several times over), why don't you simply try to use the same gauge of speaker cable, and if you don't hear the results, I'd suggest Q-Tips.
Makes one wonder why there are so many different varieties of cable out there.., hmm

ELI, welcome to the internet... where no one has to actually know anything -- they just have to say it. I mean, we have only been around 20+ years, what could we have learned about wire? Just because we have both been purchasers of wire (and I was a rep for it too) mean nothing! Guys that assemble stereos in their yards and garages are the real experts.

High strand, wire with a good dialetric can make a difference. Brand X 12 gauge may actually perform better than brand Y 8 guage power. Especially these days with the changes in copper prices, there are far greater differences now than ever between speaker and power wires.

Wow, there's an objective source of information on wire... a salesman and a former wire rep...

Anyways, I compared copper to copper and claimed no difference, now you want to bring in wire that has a significant amount of non-copper. Resistance is about the only audibly noticable factor in wire, so of course if you increase the resistance you'll get a audible level difference. If you use sufficient gauge
for the run and power levels where's the difference?

I've done my own listening tests and I sincerly doubt you can tell the difference between a reasonable quality power wire and speaker wire, let alone different speaker wires. But, if you want to spend your money on expensive braided-nut-hair-from-god wire, have at it. However, in a true ABX test I'd put 10 feet of 12g zip cord up against anything.

But, this has been done to death. No doubt you'll continue to think we're tone deaf on this side, and we'll continue to think that you're the proverbial fools who are soon parted from their money.
