System for an 89 stang
another 5.0 nut
I drove my '88 notchback LX with several upgrades (ran 10.8's on the track) and threw my system outta my daily driver into it in the summer of '99. For some reason the body of those cars is extremely loud around the peak of those flowmasters. My honest suggestion is to offload them for another, quieter package and sell the flow's on ebay. There were several different solutions available 8 years ago, not sure how many still exist, but a few horses at the power level you're running shouldn't overweigh daily driving ability. I think the borla's had near the same performance as the flowmaster's without the drone, but they cost a friggin' mint.
All I know is I ran custom piping with mac mufflers and they were way less noisy than all the other 5.0 crowd running flow's. They're purposely loud in my opinion.

Dont get me wrong I love the sound of the car thats why Im doing the
stereo like this. I may be changing it up to a full 3" set up from Mac which
will be even louder. Will a kicker 350.4 have enough jam for the mids and highs?

well I think the question here is "drowning out" so to speak of the mufflers.
If you want to simply overpower something that loud in a car that lightly soundproofed you're likely to go deaf, no kidding. I can sell you a set of 300 watt PA drivers that will drown out gunfire, but the next day you won't hear your alarm clock.
maybe the best solution is to soundproof the rear section of your fox with dynamat or the like to cut the internal noise. These cars were built light by ford for a good reason, so a lot of soundproofing was left out.
as for "Will this amp overpower the noise?": 75*4 used correctly is enough to deafen someone over short time, so it'll overpower your ears. As for the noise...

Also as mentioned about, sound proofing would go a long way.
My brother has an 88 with a 347 stroker and 100 shot of nitrous. They go like snot.
I should also mention I'm the proud new owner of a kicker 350.4, I'll tell you how loud I can make a set of components get after I hook it up.
Are you running the mid/high as full range or are there subs in there? You'll free up a mountain of midbass by crossing the amp above 100hz or so.
PS: I noticed your running an LX? right on! The lightest and stiffest fox body ever, same as mine.

yeah, if you're only running the 4 channel for mids and highs that 350.4 should be enough to play wrecking guitar solos and vocals. BTW mine came with rear components when I bought it and the tweets were installed high on the plastic to either side of the rear seat. It was really good spacially and they were almost exactly the same distance from my head as the front tweets. The rear deck is ok igess, but it's worth trying a few locations by sticking the tweets down with masking tape before cutting into the body or carpet/ect.
