I've always been able to hear the differences in sound produced by amps utilizing different topologies. Night and day!

Me, I'm middle of the road - I believe some amps behave poorly and that can cause them to sound bad. I also believe that it is near impossible to tell the difference between two well made amps that are operating within their comfort zone, especially, as loudtdi pointed out:

Again, IMO the overall sound of a car will be altered by 49% speakers, 49% install, and 2% everything else combined: head unit, cables, amps, weather, mood, etc..

You should be made aware that this is a big debate and never ends well regardless of the forum. If amplifiers were so easy to distinguish, this topic would not be a debate and proof would be easy to come by.

The more you stick around, and hopefully you do and don't get to much of a saour taste, you will notice that car audio is mostly driven by "greener grass on ther other side" syndrome then actual "upgrades" and benefits.

It could be said that there are always measurable differences between 2 peices of technologies, however, our natural senses don't evolve with the ever upgrading equipement thus, we end up with better gear then our senses can make differences of.
