gotta be 1000/1 . we can use my car intill it is sold ! Me thinks that a sound deadend hatchback offers a decent enironment for a sub comparison ?

Now , to the ground rules .

Need Alexander Keith on site and his 5 twins .
It would be nice to see some show ladies that are not just there for show . If the W7 wins and we have a line up from the 10 ,12 is sitting right here and the 13 the neutral guy in the middle , ME takes them home .
Location ? Location ? Location ?
Don't wanna be baitfish , especially when rolling like Piranhas so I'd suggest selective few meet at a suitable crib . we can do the orginazational stuff over da phone . Brandon has got to bring his crazy wires and we gotta fly in that dog that wanted to hump him too . J/K .

For real , let's get this off the ground , after all this is the breaking point for SQ with thump . I wanna know how long it will take until JL's work is dismantelled , overshadowed and the new breed of standard comes long .

P.S As I mentioned in the first message of post 1 perhaps 2 ID's vs one doubleya . At the price of the W& perhaps even 3 subs but that would be anfair to the whole concept of numbers and soundilically correctness0.
Ofcourse 3 guys will kick a black belts *** in most cases !

Holla !

what would be nice is an RTA, and an SPL mic to get some relevent numbers. Another thing we'd need is some to-spec boxes for each sub, with similar, or the same response curves, as determined by winISD or some other program. I'd build the ones for the IDmax, but I no longer have a workshop. We need someone who knows box building to construct some basic MDF boxes for testing, say 1 small sealed, 1 large sealed, 1 street bass vented and 1 SPL vented. that would give us 4 good, comparable tests to test the range of use for each sub.

I own the JL factory sealed spec box for the 12 " . So that's two out of your list of too many totals unless JL and ID be paying us or reumbrsing us for materials plus a little equipment bonus ? but then again that would be against industry rules as in who are we to be ...?

Either way , If enoguh people want to get this comaprison once an for all out of the way of this board at least we got a good chance . Maybe there are members on this board with access to a little publicity such as magazines and might run this idea by editors etc ... who in turn could let the manufacturesrs know that something is on it's way why don't they contact us with some candy to smoothen over final feedback although gurateed unbiased or am I a dreamer ? I forgot to make points in the above sentences so here they are for all the smartasses that would comment with cheesy lines such as .... I am not a smartass how owuld I know ?!

Here they are ........ more then enough .

Cheers .

P.S I'll keep checking this post until we have a little mob big enough to make the testing fairly simple and attainable with all the ingredients in it . Bassmaster gave some good fundamentalist pointers !

My IDmax will be on it's way here in a week or so, so lets start setting up some specifics.

I guess we will need various sealed and ported for test boxes which we can split in cost and at the end of the day someone will probably take em home to carpet or what not and same with the MAX ?
Either way , the boxes have to be build better the good so it becomes the stronger link .

I also feel there should be a third worthy woofer for comparison although that might make things little more complicated but holy trinity and there have got to be others out there in the contesters lanes .
