What kind of speakers ?
so, is this thread helping you so far? There's only one way to choose speakers, use your ears, and wallet. Virtually all good brands have some good and not so good speakers, the only way to know which are which is to listen to them. As you've noticed, everyone has a different opinion as to which ones are the best. It really is only a selection as to which ones are their favourite!

Exactly what he said (unless you decide on something else)
Everyone perceives music their own way and each speaker will sound slightly diffferent and that is why there are so many choices and opinions.
Sorry, I'll try to clear it up a bit...
I was planning on maybe spending around 4~500$ for both sets. But, the problem is the power I need them to handle... I had some Type S, and, even with no bass (HPF at 160hz), I ended up cracking to woofer about 2" long. So, I'm hoping to find some speakers powerful enough to handle the power driven by my amp (80W RMS).
Now, I can get some Canton RS 2.16 components for 250$, or coaxials for 220$ per set...
Problem is, I don't know where I can go to give them a listen... I'm kinda new to this whole car audio, and don't know where the good shops are where I can listen to higher end speakers. FutureShop, Centre Hi-Fi and company only carry lower end products.
You guys have any recommendations of good shops on the south shore of montreal or montreal area ?

I second the opinion on DLS, There is at least one set in the for sale section, and they sound great! The only company that I can honestly say you can crank up till they're ready to blow, and the tweeters don't get harsh and tinny.
