I'm thinking 80 is too low for those 5.25's (personal opinion of course) wont get any volume out of them forcing him to play them into distortion and eventually oblivion.

I'd start at 120 and go up from there.

The bottom end of their response is 80hz and I've never seen a speak play their lower end of their frequency response at a reasonable volume, when installing, I double it as a starting point (very non-scientific method) so even 160 might be better.

Depending on install and all those other good things, were all just guessing anyway, play with the settings until it sound the way you want at the volume you want.

Just be realistic about your expectations

The "enclosure" in the back of the Accents are quite small. The GSI's are a hatch with these tiny little shelves for speaker mounts. I would be inclined to run the fronts around 120 give or take (as they are in a larger "enclosure", aka the door and will be prone to play lower) and the rears around the 140-160 mark. Type S favour the mid range and high end, so let the sub fill in the rest

lol ok. that's good to know... and there is quite a bit of space for the "enclosure" for the back of the car. it's just not as much as the whole door that the fronts have. but that deffinatly sounds good to me. I've been playing around with the xover on the head unit... havn't gotten the amp yet so havn't set it up should have it by friday... should also have my new subbox pieces so i can start putting that together friday aswell... then by maybe the end of the weekend it'll be complete... carpeted and everything.

You're going to use either the deck or the amps for crossover control. Using both won't do anything but waste your time lol. Personally I'd rely on the amps, but that's just me

yeah I will be... i don't have the amp set up yet. so i was just messing around with the deck. once the amp is setup I'll be putting the xover on the deck to "thru" just like the sub xover is set to.
