Hey all,

I just read that some of you are endorsing the W7 sub and I felt compeled to warn you all - This is THE worst sub that I have heard, EVER. To any of you who are currently using it I mean no offense, but this sub is AWFUL!!! The shop that I am dealing with gave me a W7 sub/box as a loner while my sub box is being built and after the first day with it, I pulled the W7 out of my car.

Focal and RE make great sounding, albeit expensive subs but regardless of your choice, stay away from the W7...

Sir SSA, I would suggest any of the models you're looking at, in a sealed enclosure with sufficient power will definitely add 'punch' to your system....

For anything beyond that 'bassic' need... , I would suggest you find a shop or somewhere that you can listen to several drivers in ported enclosures. You are listening to coax speakers with substantial power at this point, adding a sub with enough output to keep up with them may be easier to do with a ported box.

wierd to see ppl feel so strongly against the W7, i got no beef with them... i can respect they're power i'm more of a focal sorta guy... i'd say get some polyv1's for subs

they won't ship to ontario, they aren't allowed to, the canadian distributor is VERY territorial.

 

Diamond Audio TDX subs have AMAZING sq and can pound HARD!!

If you have the cash I suggest you try one out!

 

what about audiobahn AW1200N 12"?

 

The W7 line is expensive, and you can get really good results with less money, but to say it's garbage, tells me either, you don't know what you're talking about, or the box you got it in was not a box a W7 should have been in, or it wasn't setup right with the right tunning, or power requirements...
