what will be louder, and sound good

ok, well i set out building an SQ system and rather like what i have ended up with, no thats a lie, however i kinda also want stupid loudness to go along aswell, i know how to make loud subs, but thats not what this question is about.

what makes for louder front/component speakers?
higher rms (2 ways)?
a 3 way system? with like an 8" 3" or 4" and tweet?
2 3 ways?
2 2 ways?

of course doubling the speakers will be louder, i think, but rite now i have a 6.5" and tweet rated 70 rms and maybe a 3 way will be louder or get another component set? rite now the speakers are massively overpowered and im pretty sure nearly dead.

i'd like to do the 3 way, but i dunno.

i want to have like 2 systems in my car, gwaaaaaa, one for rap and one for neil younge. rite now neil younge don't sound as good as before.

Go with a 3 way with 8's, and 4's and tweets... My suggestion would be this http://hybrid-audio.com/Legatia%20L841-3.pdf .... and about 1200 watts.

What kind of speakers do you have right now? and what amp? Where are they placed? Have you used sound deadener? There might be a lot of options for you before you expand your system for loudness.

Of course more speakers will have the ability to get louder but what is your budget? Do you want to try and cram a dozen speakers into a car and find room for a ton of amps?

room for amps is not a problem, i can fit 2 more amps into my current space, so i can just keep craming speakers but i want it to still sound good, at least to neil younge.

i have deadend my doors and i did notice a difference, i did the outer and inner door skins, i have also deadend my rear wheels wells and the trunk lid aswell as around the subs (its a wagon)

rite now i have my tweetes in the sail panels aimed rite at my head and the 6 1/2 in the stock location, i had to build a baffle board to get em to fit.

for amps i have 2 4 channel zapco 360's the tweets are getting 50w each off one of the amps and the mids get the full boar bridged 180W, which is probably why i have nearly blown them up. the speakers are type R's, obviously running active.

as for budget as much as i woudl like to say its limitless i have seen the price of some the seas and scanspeak speakers and they are ridiculously expensive, the dynaudio i've come across seem more in my price range as well as maybe lower end of the aforementioned.

-those lagatia's look interesting, also how can i tell between home speakers and car ones? or is their really no difference if they kept nice and dry?

have you guys listened to these first hand or perhaps have them in your cars? i sent an email to them inquiring for a price, so hopefully they don't completely blow my perceived budget.

also, i checked the rms wattage for the speakers and i don't understand how 1200W came about? i wont be using passive crossovers, nothing post amp, everything is actively done on my computer.

ok, so i got an email back and the set costs a good bit of coin, are all types of speakers in this segment this expensive? i wasn't really wanting to drop $1000, i was looking more towards $500, or is that unrealistic?

Boston Acoustics Pro60 - Boston Acoustics Pro 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers

I'm running an older (~7 years) version of these. The sound quality is very good and with a decently powerful amp they'll easily go load enough to make my ears hurt. And they'll be within budget even after shipping.

assuming you have processing available to tune through your pc, which you do

2way on budget
mid: seas ca18rnx or er18rnx, peerless exclusive 7".
tweet: seas neo al

also you can get usher mids, which are just a tad more pricey than seas or peerless.

2way on slightly higher budget:
mid: seas w18nx, scan-speak 18w

if you can fit in a large format tweet
Hiquphon OWI or II
http://www.hiquphon.dk/

3way on budget
1)
midbass: peerless sls 8 or seas L22
midrange: maybe peerless exclusive 5", 4" would be better, but its out of production now; legatia 3 or 4 (3 can be found for decent price online used), but I yet to hear it.
tweet: lpg 25nfa or 26na (may get ugly if you listen to at "fuсking loud" levels) or seas neo depending on midrange and x-over point.

2) from dayton audio:
rs225,
rs125
+ seas neo tweet

I think most of the combos don't go overboard with the moneys. you get a half a dozen other good drivers if you raise your budget.

i've also liked fozzz's vifa(i think) tweeters. there are much more drivers to choose from if you're pieceing it together and I probably forgot quite a few, but i think it's enough. i listed the drivers that i either played with, or would get in a heartbeat if I had spare cash and time. what it will come down to is integrating the drivers together, installing and tuning it out. i mean you can slap together a cheap combo and install properly, tune and it will be wonderful, meanwhile you can also get the expensive stuff, slap it together and don't have it quite right (that's me haha).

as for the loud part, I wouldn't worry. if you get a proper 2-way up with lots of power, it will be darn loud. 3-way will for sure.
