Lightbulb 2002 Honda CRV quick, clean install

Hello again from the grave, the last time I was active on here was a few years ago, but I have returned once more!

I am sort of in a tight spot and would greatly appreciate help from the collective knowledge around here.

I have a 2002 Honda CRV and and stereo installed in my current 1998 CRV. I need some advice from anyone and everyone that has dealt with a 2002 CRV that might have some tips to make the instal easier.

I have experience in the install department, I have done 3 of my own installs so far, but I am no where near professional, so even general input is greatly appreciated.

My questions fall mainly into two categories that are mutually exclusive, so i will separate them in this post, please feel free to answer one, or both of the sections with any ideas or suggestions you may have.

The Install
I would like to mount an amp in the spare tire compartment for a sub or 2 in the hatch area. And one under the driver or passenger seat to run components in the front doors only and tweeters on the dash.

I am in need of a suggestions for the easiest method of running a 0ga power wire from the battery to the rear to power the amps. My first question is; can I run it under the vehicle to save punching a hole in the firewall and trying to conceal it under the carpet, or is there too much chance of water/cut/abrasion to the wire?

Next if I do need to route it inside the vehicle, where is the best spot to put it through the firewall, and then what the the easiest place to conceal the wire from the front to the rear?

Also I am going to run 4ga from a block in the back to the component amp under the seat. From there is it easiest to run the wires for the component speakers all from the same side the amp is on; for example, if its under the drivers seat, should I run both sets of wires up the driver side and to the crossover there, and then just the passenger set across the dash (under it) and to the cross over on the passenger side. Or is it easier to run them separately up each side of the car.

That about wraps up my questions for the install itself, now onto the gear

The Gear

I currently have a cheaper clarion head unit, but I'd prefer to keep it because I really like the jump drive and aux inputs that it has. I have 2 Exile EX1200 amps that I plan on using for subs, and a pair of smaller (150-200wrms) kenwood amps that I will choose between to power the components. I have a pair of RE SX 12' dual 2ohm subs, as well as various other subs (pair of JL 10 w0, 1 mtx black gold 12" and a few others) I have a pair of infinity component sets with cross overs and tweeters.

I don't want to take up too much trunk space as I am driving a bunch of stuff back and forth to school which is 18 hours away (Thunder Bay) so I cant really use the SX's in a ported box, even 1 in a ported box is pretty big.
And the RE site does not recommend running them sealed.

So here is my problem:

I would like to have a decent bit of kick, maybe 1 12" or a pair of 10's, but it cant take up too much room, I would prefer some sort of stealth install, or at least a box that I can pile stuff around without worry of damaging the subs. And I have lost interest in the SPL scene (which is what I originally bought the gear for) and would be more interested in just a good sounding system with a decent bit of bump.

So I pose this to all of you: What sort of configuration could I go for to achieve what I want. I know I am likely looking at selling most of my gear (probably one of the exile 1200's and both the subs as they are not really suited for sound quality) and getting a new sub or two.

For decent sound am I looking at an equalizer? a better head unit, or are those really only for those that have the ears to suit them?

Can anyone recommend any subs that I can get some kick and good sound out of that will run on 600rms or so?

In conclusion, I thank everyone of you that read this far already, I know I should write a book, I'm halfway there as is, but I do appreciate your effort thus far. And I again will say that I look forward to any input that anyone may have.

I am in Grimsby, but can travel to anyone that would be willing to take a look at it to give me some ideas as well, however I am sort of working on a timeline as I am leaving for school at the end of August and would like to get it all set before then.

Thanks all for reading and have a good night.

post script disclaimer for the mods:
PS:I know this is not the classified forum so if there is anything wrong with what I have below drop me a pm and I will gladly cut the following portion out and make a separate thread in the classified section linking this thread in order to keep everything orderly, I just figured that keeping it all together might be less confusing.

When it come down to it I am keen on doing the install myself, but if I don't have time, or there is someone out there that would be willing to help me for a reasonable price I would be very interested in that as well.

The same thing applies for gear, if you have some subs or something, or would be willing to trade for some of the gear that I am switching from I would love to work something out like that. I will also go for trading my excess gear for assistance getting this system together before I leave for school.
