With the power you'll be running Aaron, I'd do the 3/0 or a couple runs of 1/0.

I can tell you, with the single amp alone, a single run of 1/0 still sees a significant voltage drop. If you upgrade to two amps, it's a lost cause. Might as well go overkill on some of the cheaper equipment in the car right?

Keep in touch with me, I might be buying a large roll of 3/0 that you can buy into... won't be very much more than 1/0 anyways.

(BTW 3/0 carries roughly 35-40% more current than 1/0)

Edit : Andy.

I would like to know how much "not very much more" is. Does this factor in the cost of terminals, and custom built distro blocks?

Really I would like to know.

Hopefully it's only 35-45% more expensive then 1/0.

I like to see 3/0 at less then 2.00$/ft.

1000 KCmil... or 1000 MCM, depending on how you say it. think BIG (solid copper would be 1 1/8" diameter)

Well...I settled it with a happy medium between both 1/0 families and the 3/0 families....

I bought 2/0!!

Should be in on Monday!!

Now to just get my amp and we can get started on at least powering up things!!

But yeah...the 1000 MCM would be cool!
