I would like to run 4 awg power wire to both my jl 250/1 and my 300/2. From my battery is 4 awg.
I was told by a local installer that 4 should split into 2 8 awg and I should not split the 4 awg from the battery into 2 4 awg. Any ideas

Thanks

if i was you i would just run 2 4 awg from your battery if u want proper voltage delivery to your amps. i would also have 4 awg ground on each amp.

1 #8 for each amp is sufficient, you're not going to tax that size of wire with that little bit of power. you're looking @ approx 30 amperes for the 250/1 and 35-39 amperes for the 300/2 #8 can handle 65 amperes or so. why run more wire than you have to?
