OK guys...I have asked around, and everyone seems to have a differing opinion to my question, so I thought I would come to the experts. I have a 98 Monte Carlo, and in the trunk I have a huge dual bandpass box with 2 12"s powered by a cruddy old 300 W amp, and I get really good sound from it. I need more trunk space. I can barely fit my hockey bag in the trunk. My question is this....can I go to a smaller box without sacrificing the bass I am currently getting? Some people tell me a smaller sealed box is better, while others stand by the dual bandpass. Most of the stuff I listen to is deeper soulful and jazzy house, and sometimes even as bumpy as a 4/4 house beat, but nothing "ravey" or "ginoey".

Any suggestions?

P.S. Depending on your feedback, I might have a dual bandpass box for sale. haha

I feel your pain. This segment of the market needs the most attention as sub boxes take up too much room as far as I'm concerned.
