well the tweet wires have been run about 50% of the way....lets just say the first 50% was the hardest...if any of you guys are familiar with the stock tweet location in an accord coupe then youl know what im talking about. thank god my roomate has these little girl hands small enough to reach in behind my fuse box and eventually grab the wire and pull it through.....tomorro the tweets will be mounted, RCA/remote power will be run, crossovers and amp will be mounted.
i got some double sides sticky tape for the tweets and tried it out and it doesnt look like its sticky enough....anyone else have any ideas??? im thinking velcro or something along those line

Sorry, I can't help you out. You can always by a cheap black and decker jigsaw. I bought one a few years ago at walmart for $24. Since you are a hobbiest that should work fine for you (Don't expect it to do too much, I burned out my motor in 3 months) As long as you baby it, it will work good for you.

If really can't get it done, go to a professional shop, let them know what you are doing, and they will be able to sell you some pre-fab rings for the car. (I think these will probably cost around $25-$30). In my books I would buy the jigsaw so when all is said and done for the price you still have a tool in the end.

That's too bad CG.
I'm about 1hr away from London and have the tools. You are more than welcome to visit. Unfortunately I don't have a garage, but a carport serves the purpose depending on the weather.

Maybe Chizzer or cav2loud(?) can help you closer than I.

its alright my buddy at school had one and i just cut out the spacers today...glues together 2 peices of mdf and cut it to the right shape (i hope) . im having second thoughts about running the wires to the doors. The wire that goes from the body to the doors is pretty much in between a rock and a hardplace i might just take it into a pro...i dont want to cave in though i started it my self and im goign to finish it......today i cut out the rings and sanded them to size with the dremel and then put the sound deadener on the passenger side door.......one question i have though ...Is the deadener sappose to extend behind the speaker when its mounted? right now i just cut a hole where the speaker is sappose to mount.....i have plenty of deadener to fill in that hole if i need too.....if i do need to fill in that hole how do you do it?

Hey the rings look good; I hope they fit well. And i just love those cf's... beauty drivers.

Yes cut the deadening out inside the hole where you will mount the ring/speaker. You also want to make sure to add a layer or two on the outer skin directly behind the driver. Try to get 1ft^2 covered or more if you can.
