alpine cda9813 vs mrd-m300 vs dual 1041 sub..
first post here.. hi, i just installed an alpine cda 9813, with a mrd-m300 wired in 2 ohms on 2 10" sws-1041,here is my question,i can barely feel the bass coming out the subs, i know the rca is ok, i have power on the amp,i see the amp voltage,i turned sub on , on the radio, is there something i forget?
with all the settings on the amp and the radio... not sure if i did ok!
*i miss my old alpine 3541, twas a plug an listen amp

ok that amp can be tricky....is the sub playing? or not at all? You said you can barely feel it...are you saying it's not loud enough, or like when your hand is resting on the sub you can't tell if it's playing?
If it doesn't seem like the sub is doing anything than read on, if the sub just isn't loud enough, then everything below is useless to you and not needed
I had that same amp and i did run into one problem that nearly drove me insane.
If i remember right there's 10 levels for settings on the amp:
1. Input
2. LPF
3. Subsonic Filter
4. Parametric EQ
5. Bass Comp.
6. Time Corr.
7. Phase
8. Amp Set
9. Safe Mode
0. Memory
1, is pretty straight forward...that being your gain....turn it to where it sounds good to you, you can match it to what your preouts are with the manuals help.
2, you generall wanna set to somewhere around 80Hz...it's up to you after that...but that seems to be a good starting point....
3, isn't really important if you've got a sealed, box, but if you're using a ported box, i believe the general rule of thumb is 10Hz or so below whatever the box is tuned to. So if it's tuned to 35Hz, set this filter to 25Hz.
4, is basically a bass boost, allows ya to set what frequencies you wish to boost and how much around that frequency.
5, is either on or off depending on your preference of sound, i think it was supposed to be used in combination with mp3 cd's to replace sounds/frequencies that were usually lost or something.
6, is explained int he manual better than i can explain it here....do whatever ya like for setting it heh
7, with one sub doesn't make a diff i don't believe
8, isn't terribly important with only 1 amp, but does allow the option of having a turn-on delay if you get that thump from your sub when the car starts.
***9, is where my problem laid! The amp doesn't run when safe mode is turned on. Even when you turn the amplifier to off, the sub still won't work. You have to turn this setting to off, and then i believe i had to turn my HU off and back on, which inturn turns the amp off and back on. If ya don't shut the amp off and back on....safe mode won't get shut off, and you'll go insane like i did wondering why the damn thing ain't working.
0, is just a memory thing which isn't overly important...read thru the manual if ya wanna have your memory settings saved, but by playing around with the amp you'll find it to be pretty self explanatory i think.
If you do all the above, you're grounds are good, RCA's are fine, and wiring is correct you should generally have a working amp.
If the above didn't solve your problem try n give us a lil more information and i'll see if i have any other ideas.

assuming you're wired up correctly at 2ohms for the max output of that amp (300w give or take a bit) then the only thing i can think of...is adjust the gain.....turn it up some....and turn up the parametric equalizer and set it to boost the widest range of frequencies it will allow.
