amp light?
the blue light is just for show and comes on when there is power going to it. It's attached to the amp itself, but theres also a green light on the said that says when the remote power is turned on. But the green light isn't on and I've already checked the fuse in the power wire and it's completely fine, as are the two 20 amp fuses in the amp itself. I also checked if the remote wire is connected in the back of the deck and even while manually holding it in tight it still doesn't work so that cannot be the problem. Only thing I've thought of would be that it somehow got cut in between. Just would like to be sure before ripping off the trim.
The blue light definitely says you have power, always trust the blue light. run a jumper from the + to the amp to the remote turn on... that should turn on the amp (if this does turn on the amp remember you have to disconnect the remote turn on to turn off the amp). This will verify your crimped wire theory, the voltage for the remote turn on needs to be at least 11 volts or so so a couple broken strands of copper would do it in.
