Question amp noise

i connected my deck to amp. Theres a cable from my deck sayin: "AMP REM..." i connected from there to my amp where it says "remote on off". Now wen i play music it makes a noise like a disturbance or so, its like a whistling noise. now wen i disconnected that remote on off wire the noise goes away but my sub connected to the amp doesnt work anymore???? WHY
WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THE SUB WORK BUT GET RID OF THE NOISES??

We for starters there dude, that Amp Rem turns the amp on, if you take it off the amp won't turn on, which means your sub won't work. As for the noise, what all do you have hooked up to the amp, what's you X-over freq set to, if your freq is set to high and your rca's are on the same side as the power and ground then you will get some noise.

try leaving the Amp Rem on and dissconnecting the RCA's then see what it does.

make sure that the red and white wires do not run beside the power and ground. if your amp only has one **** then you will mor then liky need a low pass cross over

the best thing for you to do, since none of us can see your install, then you should find a good local shop there and have hem tak a look and you, will probably need to get an active crossover

also one thing to check for is that your ground for your amp is not connected to your battery ground ....ground it to the chassy of the car and also make sure it is the thickest and shortest distance of wire, meaning that the ground wire is as big or even bigger then your power wire and make sure you dont have over kill like i need 3 feet of ground, but i dont want to cut it so there is 20 feet all curled up together......i have run my power and rca's together forever and have never had noise before....but like TLC said make sure you even have a cross over first , and yes you do need one,,,,,,the way to check is to turn the subs on and can you hear voice from them?
or just base?
