just need a thought from someone else on what could be going on here.

amp DD SS1 goes into protect and is freaken hot. never use to do this. my amp in permanantly placed where all wires are hidden and will never come off. ground is ok but will have to redo it one of these days. and on the plus side of this. its been working fine since ive installed it almost 6 months ago.( ground is on a bolt behind a plastic panel so its very hard to get too lol )

any ideas of whats going on?? amp going? subs going and causing the impendance to go to low???


through me some ideas cause this is anoying lol

Does the amp come back on after it cools down? If yes then the amps thermal protection circuit is doing it's job just fine. The longer you play something at a sustained volume, the more the heat buildup until it triggers a thermal switch shutting everything down. In some cases a bad subwoofer will still play, it could very well be a sub issue.

i use to play at full volume for hours and it never whent into protect. and yes it turns back on.

AND as i checked lately it smells like the beauty of frying electronics. f@?*& the subs are almost done ( i know that for a fact ) but the amp was the last thing i thought that would of whent.

ANYWAY there goes my bang bang for a while. BTW rob did you get my messages??? if you want to sell i need prices and save up for it lol yes i ask lots of questions and i need prices on everything but if you help me out man you will get the sale as soon as i get some cash.
