amp protection problem

okay here is my problem my amp protection light jus came on out of no where and i dont know what to do now, i tried everything i could... i pulled out the wires... the ground and power... and clean the surrounding area and reconnected them... i know its not my power wire because if their was a leak in my power wire it would of killed my battery while i was parked up, i also know its not my amp because i hooked it up in my dad's van and it worked.. i dont know if the speaker wires and rc cable could of cause it to come on but i unconnected the rc wires and speaker wires and only left on the power ground and remote wire but yet protection is still on my amp.. i even tired giving the remote terminal direct power from the amp battery input but yet that didnt turn it on still has protection...

so i tried everything i thought of to single out the problems... my power wire is out of question and my remote wire is also out of question because even when i gave it direct power to turn the amp on it still had protection, so i think it is my ground.. wire but the problem is i been useing that spot where the spear wheel is to ground it, and it worked for more than 5 months.. and i know the amps work.. so now i'm stuck with no idea what to do can someone help me plz thanks

Try changing your ground, however I don't believe this would be the problem! To me, my first instinctual thought is the fuse for your powre wire might have something to do with it, The remote wire can still make the power and protection light come on!! but if you checked it in your other vehicle with NO problems, Maybe check EVERY connection regardless iff you say they are good or not, someting like one of your rca's could have a pinch that didn't take effect til you hit a bump or something, or simply enough the angle of the amp? try turning it sideways and then turn it on(I had an amp that was picky, and would not work laying down, but put it on its side it would flawlessly work), It never hurts to try many things even if you are certain that they are indeed working!!

have you checked the voltage going to the amp ? un hook the amp from the trunk. go up to the engine bay and rig up some wires safely and try it from there. if it turns of fine that way then your existing wires are ****ed somewhere. if that dont do it I dunno.
