Amp turn on delay?

I have a quick question for anyone in the know...

I had the eclipse AVN5435 head unit installed into my car, I also had an Alpine 1000 Watt mono block and a DD 3512 installed.

this system was integrated into the car which came with 3 factory amps and 10 interior speakers installed already.

When I turn on the car the alpine amp and DD sub turn on right away and I start hearing bass notes, However the other 3 amps and the interior speakers in the car seem to have a mind of there own. They turn on anywhere from 10 seconds after the sub, all the way up to 6 minutes is the longest I timed it. There is no set pattern and it seems to just pop on mid song whenever it wants.

Does anyone know or have had a similar problem? and can it be fixed?

I would have just asked the installer, however when I called today he was not in. He is also not in tomorrow so I figure I may aswell atleast get some info on what it might be so I can talk with him about a solution.

I imagine that the factory equiptment was fine before the install? Possibly splitting the remote line from deck to 4 amps is too much for it to manage.
Maybe need a relay to supply solid 12v to amps to turn on. But.... then again it may be something that the installer overlooked? I would get them to check it out first, if its a relay u need they can install for you.

Yes, the factory equipment has always worked perfectly without a hitch.

Is this a problem you have seen or dealt with before?

Easy fix? or possible headache?

What year and make of car? I assume the speakers have factory amps that have been kept?

New Fords have the MSCAN databus interface which means your installer may have used an aftermarket interface to make things work. Especially if you have the THX option. If so he will have to trouble shoot it to get your new setup working properly.

If he is using a simple remote turn on output from the new head unit the problem might be an incompatible voltage on the factory amp input. Many new Ford systems have a 5v input on the factory amp. I have heard of people using a 1k ohm resistor in series with the amp remote input to make things work. I think it's best that your installer trouble shoot this because really, only he knows what he did.
