remote hooked up, believed to get power because the prot light only comes on when remote power and ground are all hooked up with the deck on and amp gain turned on but it won't take power, the led won't turn on and the sub's don't get power

have a single monster audio cable connecting the left or right rear output from the jvc deck to the input connection on the amp (makes the prot led brighter) power ground and remote hooked up, then positive and negative wiring from amp to sub are hooked up, sub works, it is a single channel 300 watt visonik amp thinkin something is gone on it... all fuses are good, connections are good, what else is there to check?

i have never done it through a sub only amp, just through multichannel bridged amps
