I was just wondering how someone can amplify the door speaker to get more sound out and what a good size amp for doing that is.

i see that it is possible to increase the power to the speaker but dont know how to wire them. i already have 2 12" infinity 1250 subs installed to a sony amp that puts out
# 1300W Max Power
# 550W x 1 RMS into 4 ohms
# 900W x 1 RMS into 2 ohms
and my subs drown my pioneer speakers which are 220 watts 3way. I have been thinking on using the sony amp for the speaker and buying a bigger amp for m subs, but im afraid i will blow the speakers. How should i wire them to m amp and what size amp should i be using?

Your Sony amp sounds like a monoblock amp, single channel, you can use this for the pioneer 3 ways.
I'd look into and amp that puts out about 100 watts RMS of clean power and run both the amps to your system

 

yea the sony is a mono block, is that wat it needs or does it matter, also it sounds like a lot of power to me? how should i connect the speakers to it? should i run all 6 speakers (+/-) to the amp and the load to the 2 terminals i have on it? have 1(+/-) having 3 speaker hooked up and then the 2nd the same way with the other 3 speakers ( probably left and right)?

 

Sorry, that was a typo, you CANNOT use that amp for the pioneers.

 

o ok so what type of am do you need to work the speakers then?

 

i would look for a 2ch and if you are doing 4 speakers i would get a 4ch
