bass gets louder...

My bass gets louder when my doors are opend or when my windows are down

is this normal?
box size?
trunk size?

When you open your window / door your car is now acting like a ported box, therefor it gets louder.

imagine u are the sound waves when u open the doors the bass will reflect off your doors creating , what rockney said just like a port to let the air out , if u were driving then its not as loud because u have road noise
